Classroom Equipment

In DA’s photography program, we enjoy using a well stocked studio of analog, digital, lighting, and artmaking equipment and materials. Photo 1 students begin by working with Canon Rebel DSLR’s and exposure settings. They also get the opportunity to learnand certify in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Photo 2 students begin applying the foundation they learned in Photo 1 and also learning to shoot and process 35mm BW film and print in the darkroom. In the second semester of Photo 2, students begin learning off camera and studio lighting. In Photo 3 and AP they develop a project and work independently to deepen the skills they learned in their first two years.
