Student Profile: Anna
Anna’s Statement:
To better understand the experience of the pandemic, I photographed myself and others. These images reflect how different people have adjusted to their new way of life, isolation, family gatherings, daily tasks, and the workforce.In the beginning I was only concerned with my perspective of the pandemic and strictly shot self-portraits. As things began to reopen, I realized the best way to document the pandemic was to photograph others. These images convey the want for normalcy so many have today. I experimented with many types of editing styles but found that multiple exposures that emphasize moments in time captured, fit my investigation best. I also found color was important in creating nostalgia and mood.
